Red cabbage Indicator

 Aim: I want to find out how red cabbage can tell if a liquid is an acid ir a base. 

Research:


Method;                                                                                                                                                Equipment
  1. Beaker 
  2. Water 
  3. Cabbage 
  4. Test tubes 
  5. Acid was hyotrochgloric acid 
  6. Base was sodlium hyoloxide
  7. dropper 
Instructions 
  1. Get your Equipment.
  2. Wash you hands.
  3. Then break your cabbage up into little bits.
  4. Then add your cabbage in your beaker with warm water.
  5. Then  get your test tubes and add you water that you put the cabbage in but don't put cabbage in the test tube just put the watter useing the dropper.
  6. then add hyotrochgloric acid or  sodlium hyoloxide to your water in your test tubes but dont fill it to the top of the test tube.
  7. Then keep adding differnet kinds of hyotrochgloric acid or  sodlium hyoloxide and see what colour you end up with.
